Tapas is a fairly new foray for me. I’ve never been a picky eater and tend to gravitate towards heavier dishes, and typically err away from anything that requires sharing… Perhaps this is a sign of adulthood, but I’m all for sharing, which has made tapas a recent favourite for catching up with friends. The team at Rafa’s Didsbury got in touch to ask whether I’d like to have a meal there, it seemed the ideal opportunity to not only discover a restaurant close to home, but also eat my body weight in tapas…

Brunch at 19 Cafe Bar

I may as well add 'brunch' to my resume because I have it so much, but there's a valid reason for it - it's just great. Whether it's a savoury or sweet option, breakfast food till noon definitely sets my day on a good path. I was recently invited to 19 Cafe Bar to try their brunch, and it is definitely a gem that I'll be adding to my list of favourite places in Manchester.

Dinner at Alston Bar & Beef, Manchester (Review)

You may have noticed an increase in food posts lately, and that should come as no surprise because I love food. Ever since I was a child, food has always been something I've enjoyed and as I've grown up, it's been something that is important and a key part of my life. So when I was invited by Alston Bar & Beef in Manchester to discover their new restaurant and try out their menu, it was a no-brainer - and was probably one of the best steaks I've ever eaten.

Brunch at Pen and Pencil, NQ

I love brunch. Not only does it provide an incredible excuse to eat breakfast food for lunch but it also means you're not rushing your food. Brunch is just my favourite - and a great way to catch up with friends and family. Pen and Pencil is one of those places that I've always known about and always had on my list but somehow never quite made it out. But when I was offered the chance to come and try their brunch, I couldn't refuse!

Brunch at Tre Ciccio

So a couple of weeks ago, I discovered the hidden gem that is Tre Ciccio. Despite having lived in Manchester for the past five years, I've never ventured into Altrincham but the invitation to try Tre Ciccio's new brunch menu was something I couldn't refuse!

High Frequency Cafe, Brunei, #BruneiCafeSeries - Brunei Coffee Shop

High Frequency Cafe is another cafe, tucked away just off of Jalan Batu Bersarat. Tucked away in one of the many shop lots, keep your eyes peeled for the baby blue exterior.

And this is probably one of my favourite all-rounder cafes in Brunei as it has it all: good coffee, good cake and a good range of food (did someone say brunch?)
