High Frequency Cafe is another cafe, tucked away just off of Jalan Batu Bersarat. Tucked away in one of the many shop lots, keep your eyes peeled for the baby blue exterior.

Alter Ego, Brunei, #BruneiCafeSeries - Brunei Coffee Shop

Alter Ego, located in Kiulap near Regent Square, is possibly one of the most aesthetically pleasing cafes that I've ever been in. Not only does it feature raw brick walls, marble and plenty of copper - but the ceiling is full of hanging plants. It is literally the most instagrammable cafe in Brunei. You heard it here first.

The Brew at Mr Baker Bakeshop, Brunei, #BruneiCafeSeries - Brunei Coffee Shop

Brew at Mr Baker Bakeshop is probably one of the longest running coffee shops in Brunei - aside from the Coffee Bean. And by longest running - it means that it's been around since about 2014 (don't quote me on that). As of 2018, Mr Baker Bakeshop has several branches but the one with the coffee shop is their Gadong branch. 

But for a long time, it just sold bread - with coffee as a secondary. Yet recently, they've had a bit of a renovation and completely redone their coffee shop part - and it's great.

Tucked away, just off Jalan Batu Bersarat, sits Caffe Verve, a coffee shop ideal for both those who want the perfect Instagram Latte or who really know their coffee. And it's good coffee.

Not only is the interior absolutely stunning (can we take a moment to admire the tiles), but both the food and drink menu is remarkably extensive.
