The Palette Edit

As much as I love individual shadows from MakeupGeek, I also love compiled palettes; particularly the small ones that are easy to fling into your makeup bag. So I decided to share my edit. Believe me, I have many more...

On the more luxury side, I adore Charlotte Tilbury's Golden Goddess Palette the packaging is so gorgeous and the colours are so easily wearable and little skill is required for application. Even if eyeshadow really isn't your thing, they look artful even when messily applied. Ideal for a beachy golden goddess 'look at my tan' look. Expensive, but the eyeshadows are so creamy and buttery; a firm favourite.

Illamasqua are a current favourite, primarily because they're cruelty free but I adore their palettes. Illamasqua is definitely a go to if you want to go big with your makeup and their eyeshadows really pack a punch. The packaging, although slightly large, is really gorgeous and I love the colours in each palette. I have the Neutral and Empower palette - I haven't used the green shade much in the Empower one, but it's nice to have them just in case...

And for a more budget option, I have the Kiko Quad in a wonderful variety of purple toned colours; ideal for autumn. They are very glittery, so it's definitely more of an evening choice than day time but they are really beautiful and very pigmented.

For larger palettes, I of course have the Naked Basics Palette which is the perfect palette to take away with you as the colours are so versatile. I think matte colours are incredibly wearable and easy to apply so I really can't complain. I prefer this to the Naked palette as I'm definitely a matte girl at heart...

And a hidden favourite has to be the Sleek Eyeshadow Palettes which are intensely glittery but so buttery and pigmented. These are always my go to if I'm wanting to try a more affordable option as the shadows are ruddy good and not too pricey.

What are some of your favourite eyeshadow palettes?
