Located in the heart of Jerudong, Brunei is Roasted Sip which is currently the best coffee shop that Jerudong has to offer.

I first blogged about Roasted Sip when I created my Brunei Coffee Shop Guide so I very much used the excuse of this cafe guide as a reason to go back.

But Roasted Sip has a slight edge on the other Bruneian coffee shops - as they roast their own beans. Tucked behind the barista counter is a glass room where they roast their beans. If you're into your coffee, this may definitely be a slight novelty factor!

The aesthetic of the shop is very industrial - think raw brick and cement and warm cosy tones. Lots of greenery, a record player and shelving made from pipes gives the cafe a rustic aesthetic - that similarly to Alter Ego, is incredibly instagrammable.

The Cafe has a great selection of coffee-based drinks - from their famous Jelly Latte (if you like bubble tea, you'll like this), to their Vintage Cappucino (think creme brulee topped cappuccino) and their RS Mocha. And if you're dairy free, they offer Soya Milk! I'd highly recommend the Vintage Cappuccino as it tastes like caffeinated Creme Brulee. Yum.

Food wise - they don't really offer much beyond a limited selection of pastries and puddings but as their niche is the coffee roasting, I can understand why this isn't a priority.

Another downside is limited seating inside - so there's no guarantee that you'll be able to nab a spot to have a catch-up!

If you like your coffee and you're in the area, I'd definitely suggest stopping by - let me know what you think!

Have you been here? What do you think of the setup & visual aesthetic?

You can find them on Facebook and Instagram.
