Beauty Review

You'll be able to tell from this blog that I don't do beauty boxes. To be honest as a student, I rarely find myself able to spare the £10 or so for a box that may or may not be worth the money or have things I'll use and quite frankly, as a blogger I find myself in a surplus of beauty products so paying extra just isn't in my best interest.

But beauty boxes are pretty trendy but I always make sure to research them first before accepting. And I found one I seriously like. Latest in Beauty got in touch to ask if I'd like to review one of their personalised build-a-box and I ummed and ahhhed about it but this is something I really like. It's a way to try new beauty products without the hefty price tag associated with a big order. And it has brands you'll love.

One of my biggest beefs with beauty boxes is that often they're brands that I already know or they're the same brands over and over again.... But the fact that I was able to go for REN, Eucerin, Nails Inc and Caudalie (to name just a few) was ideal. And as I went for the personalised box, I was able to tailor it to more skincare options which is ideal for my likes. (I bloody love a bit of skincare).

So let me break it down. I got to choose 9 products and there was a massive choice. Here's what I went for.

  • Anne Semonin Eye Express Radiance Ice Cubes
  • Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst Quenching Serum
  • Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Day Cream for Dry Skin (full size)
  • REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask
  • Philip Kingsley Geranium & Neroli Elasticizer
  • Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray
  • Nails INC Nail Kale in Westbourne Park Road (full size)
  • REN Flash Rinse 1 Minute Facial
  • Nails INC Nail Polish in Porchester Square (full size)

This 9 product box costs £18.00 and can be tailored to include numerous full sized items - I opted for mostly travel sizes but had a fullsize of the 2 Nails INC Nailpolishes and the Eucerin day cream. I'm sure you'll be seeing quite a few of these on the blog soon as it's safe to say, I've discovered some firm favourites.

If you're looking to either subscribe to a monthly box or just get a box like I did, it's worth it. Try Latest in Beauty here.
