Alter Ego, located in Kiulap near Regent Square, is possibly one of the most aesthetically pleasing cafes that I've ever been in. Not only does it feature raw brick walls, marble and plenty of copper - but the ceiling is full of hanging plants. It is literally the most instagrammable cafe in Brunei. You heard it here first.

Yet again, this is another Bruneian cafe that serves an incredible range of coffee and tea - but if you prefer a soft drink, I'd highly recommend their Mango Tango (which has ginger, mint and mango). It's delicious. But again, no milk alternatives on offer. Fingers crossed for my next visit!

Aside from drinks, the cafe offers a wide range of lighter food options from Ramen to Beef burgers - although it definitely seems more of a lunch place than dinner. If you're here for a catch-up, they also offer various high tea and cake options - all which look delicious but I haven't tried them so can't comment!

But it's honestly so pretty that it's worth a visit, even just for a coffee & a cute instagram picture! I visited it earlier in April 2017 and it's safe to say that the service has improved so much since then - and I'm glad it has because it would be a shame to lose such a beautifully decorated location!

Price wise - it's fairly reasonably priced. Obviously not as cheap as your local Kopitiam but not extortinate. If you're from the UK, drinks are priced similarly to that of Costa Coffee.

Have you been here before? Does this look like somewhere you'd like to visit? If you live in Brunei, let me know your favourite cafes!

You can find them on Facebook and Instagram.
