The Selfridges Mate Date
Valentine's day is fast approaching but whilst some people may assume that this means you have to spend it with your partner, it can actually act as a brilliant excuse to have a bit more of a #Galentines day with a close friend or bestie and take advantage of all the beauty offerings that Selfridges has to offer.
My friend and I fully took advantage of this and booked in with Clarins for an arm and hand massage (which was very welcome after a day of essay writing!) We went to Selfridges Trafford Centre and after a suitable amount of mooching, we headed to the Beauty Hall and the Clarins counter, ready for our massages!
Clarins is surprisingly enough, a brand that I've not tried much from, so not only was the hand & arm massage incredibly relaxing, but it was great to learn a little bit more about the brand! The products used included the Tonic Beauty Balm, Tonic Body Treatment and Moisture Rich Body Lotion. The products all smell divine and really added a spa-like scent and feeling to the experience. It was very much needed as an end of week treat!
Once we were done at Clarins, we headed to the Champagne Bar in the FoodHall for a bit of a refreshment. We opted for the Selfridges Prosecco Cecilia Beretta NV and the House Champagne Rose NV. Both were delicious and really crisp. The champagne bar was also a great place to do a spot of people watching, as it's situated in the middle of the food hall!
This was honestly a fantastic way to have a bit of time with a friend and a great option if you don't buy into the Valentines day hype (and instead want a bit of quality Gal time).
Are you more of a Valentines or Galentines type of person?
