*I was gifted this box, however all opinions are my own.

If you’ve followed this blog since 2014, you may remember that I reviewed a lookfantastic Beauty Box, and was fairly ambiguous towards it. But in the past years, it’s really grown up and developed into a real contender within the beauty box market (of which there are so many). The lookfantastic Beauty Box is an international Beauty Box that ships to everywhere that lookfantastic does. It contains 6 premium beauty treats, an issue of ELLE magazine and a Beauty Box magazine booklet - priced from £13. I’ve recently been gifted their March beauty box so read on for more…

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid

Whilst The Ordinary has a fairly low price point, I can’t recall them ever appearing in a beauty box and were a very welcome addition. Hyaluronic is an essential for skin that is lacking in moisture, as a molecule of HA can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water. Applied before moisturiser, it pulls water to the skin’s surface, making the complexion look plump and radiant. This will work for all skin types, but if you have oily skin, use this instead of a moisturiser for a hydrated finish. Sidenote: this does pill when applying makeup so for best use, I use this in the evening - but it’s worth it.

Morphe Highlighter

A instagram famous and influencer favourite, Morphe can be hit or miss but this highlighter is beautiful. With a champagne undertone and shimmery finish, this can be built up or used for a natural finish depending on how you like your highlight to look. There is quite a lot of fall out as its talc based, but it’s still beautiful - just be warned if you’re wearing all black…

EOS Lip Balm

This was the miss for me. I don’t like EOS as a brand, nor do I rate their products so this is being passed on to someone who likes them. The ingredients list isn’t great and they very much remind me of an updated version of lip smackers but for Generation Z. It’s a no from me. (Although, it does smell insane).

Rituals ‘Ritual of Sakura’ Hand Balm

First of all, this smells unreal. It’s sweet, floral and wonderful - an absolute delight. But whilst it smells incredible, it is incredibly nourishing. As a serial skin-around-nail-biter, I always keep hand cream on my desk (currently using Soap&Glory), but this is definitely going to be the replacement as it leaves my hands feeling so soft. It’s definitely more than your usual hand balm.

MADARA Smart Anti-Pollution Mask

I’ve not tried this yet, but it looks like my kind of Sunday mask. Rich in charcoal, this should pull all the gunk out of your skin, decongesting and detoxing everything. However, this does sound like it could be quite drying so I’ll probably try to only use this when my skin is on the oiler side in Summer as it could strip all moisture away.

Omorovicza Cleansing Foam

A highly bougie and luxurious addition would have to be this cleansing foam. This comes out as a blue gel and foams up when water is added. I’m normally very against cleansing foams but the description states that this is without SLS so shouldn’t technically dry out the skin. I’ll give it a go, but I think it may be a miss for me - but would be better for someone with oily skin. Sidenote: it does smell like shaving foam in the best way possible.

All in all, a solid box and is worth around £50, which is a saving of £35+. With a monthly subscription starting from £13, it’s a solid choice as it’s all things I would definitely try. Let me know if you subscribe to the lookfantastic Beauty Box!
