Courtney dress from Chi Chi London

Summer is here (yes, we know, Ellie, shut up.) and along with summer comes summer parties, summer weddings and countless occasions where a dress is in order. Blue and white (and black) are probably my most worn colours ever, if you open my wardrobe, that's all you'll see, so this Courtney dress from Chi Chi London was absolutely perfect. The dark blue lace overlay and resultant little capped sleeves is so cute and so utterly feminine that I was in love. The block coloured white skirt adds even more elegance to the ensemble as it flounces out, making the whole dress a little bit more fun and flirty - perfect for summer! I was so pleased with the whole length of the dress as I loathe short dresses but this is perfectly modest (and the tops of my arms were covered so my insecurities were left at bay).

The back of the dress is one of my favourite parts as it's not too low that it requires a backless bra but still shows a bit of skin - the satin of the ribbon just looks stunning next to the lace! The shape of the dress is also gorgeous as it's technically a skater dress but is flattering for everyone!

The suede courts are from NewLook and go perfectly with the nude asymmetrical clutch from ASOS adds a little bit of edge to the whole outfit. Nude heels are an absolute essential as they elongate the legs and the pointed toes help with angles - plus they go with everything.

Makeup wise, I went for a bronze sunkissed look - there will be a post on it sometime next week and I used a Barry M eyeshadow crayon to line my lower lid, as well as a colourstay 24 hour eyeshadow. More details and exact product names will be in the tutorial!
