Fun Things to Do This Festive Period At Home

The lead up to Christmas can be exhausting. Not only is there an incredible pressure to buy the perfect Christmas gifts, but there is often a lot more social events on.

Whether it's a trip to the Christmas markets or a Christmas party, I find my calendar gets booked up so quickly this time of year!

Which is why it is a nice idea to allow for a few entertaining things that can be done from the safety of your home - and without the need to talk to people - basically my idea of a great day.

Here are my 5 favourites.

1. Christmas Film

Is there anything better than snuggling up all warm and watching a christmas film, alone and in your bedroom? Whilst this might be an extrovert's nightmare, it's the perfect festive day in. To add even more to the Christmas spirit, why not try throwing in some festive treats like Chocolate Orange pieces or hot chocolate!

2. Christmas baking.

If the purse strings are tight, why not spend a day or two baking up a storm as gifts for friends! I often find myself doing this at this time of year as it's cheaper than buying individually and is so much fun! Personal favourites include gingerbread men or biscuits or shortbread. Wrap them up in cellophane and a bow - voila!

3. Earn a bit of extra cash.

If things are a bit tight, you could always have a gander at bingo review sites to try and find the best deals to earn a bit more! Sites like these are helpful for sussing out the best online promotions and means that you'll ultimately end up wasting less time - and it can be done from the comfort of your own home.

4. Wrapping.

This definitely a bit of a personal favourite but I really love setting aside a bit of time to wrap presents. I never wrap my presents in a way that is particularly OTT (brown paper & fancy ribbons are my fave!), but it's rather therapeutic to do! Combine this with a festive film and you have a fab afternoon in!

5. Decorate.

Whilst at this point, most people will have their Christmas trees up, that doesn't mean you can't decorate more! Why not try stringing a few more fairy lights up - they really help add to the cozy ambience of a home! If you're in a rented property, get yourself some easy remove command hooks and light up your home!

What are you favourite home-based festive activities?
